‘m aware that magnetic discs and tapes can be wiped quite easily, but can the on/off state of transistors in flash memory be changed by a something like a strong electromagnet?
No. I’ve conducted my own accidental experiment where I left two of my USB flash drives near a pile of strong magnets that I stick to the fridge, and I forgot for 3 days, but nothing got corrupted.
Any suggestions? Plain text and images are loading as quick as they ever did, but in the last few days Flash videos and games take hours to load, or don’t load at all.
Try cleaning the Temporary Internet folder and the Windows Disk cache.
It is very possible that your “temporary internet files” and memory are full to the maximum.
I need to create a platform game in flash by next Friday or i’ll fail. If you know any good websites with tutorials or anything i would be eternally grateful because this is life or death for me.
How much knowledge do you have of flash? Because if you dont have any knowledge of coding with flash there is no chance that you will be able to understand how to make the coding for the characters, making the drawings solid etc.
You also need to get the right program which you can get for a free 30 day trial called “Flash”.
I don’t own a flash drive and I don’t want to go buy one, so instead I am wondering if I can use my memory card (Memory Stick Pro Duo) from my camera to save a document?
Yes it can…but you have to know that if you are transferring to another computer that it also has to have a reader for your Memory stick…
Yes it will work just like a disk drive. Insert it into whatever you use to read it and it will show up as a drive. Then you can save a file to it.
Sure, they have things called card readers. They have them everywhere, walmart, target, bestbuy. They are pretty inexpensive as well.
Yes, a Memory Card will permit you to save pictures, game data and even music, also a Memory Card will permit you to save documents on one…
The computer your transferring the document to or use to open the document must have a reader, that is compatible with the memory card to other wise the document nor card won’t open…
I have flash 8, and want to take an online tutorial to lean how to use flash to make cool online games:)
do i have to lean actions script for this?
There are several FREE tutorials online that you can use. They are really helpful as they really do take you through it step by step. Great stuff out there.
Yes, actionscript is a must in this matter. You can find many good (and free) online tutorials
They also provide online lessons but as i said they are not professionals
Buy a digital or order a hard copy of the latest Flash professional Tutorial

Some web sites say my version of flash player is the old version, I did not know I even had one.
Adobe is a trusted scorce of software and the flash player just plays flash movies well and is safe to download and use, chech adobes web site for the latest and download it and enjoy
I believe all authors edit their books. They are the first editors and do the main part in cleaning up mistakes and such.
However, an editor who didn’t write the book would help point out and fix flaws you may not have realized were there. The reason people like Stephen King have them is because they help to improve your book, so it is highly recommended you hire one.
Of course you can, if you’re good at editing. But it is always a good idea to have a fresh, unbiased pair of eyes checking your work because you know what you meant to write so you might just read it like you want it to sound instead of reading what it actually says on your page.
As a writer it is hard for me to proofread or edit my work. However if I wait for a while, let’s say a year or so, then I can see my errors.
It is easier having someone do it for you.
idk, i edited mine before i sent it off.. but then the agency asks you to change things. you always edit yourself but other people fix up the stuff you didnt.
well it is kinda harder to edit your own writing since it is your own style. it you can tell the difference or if you are a flexible author than yes you can
i basically want a program to make a flash animation. One pretty simple to use i guess. But i really need something like where i can use my sprites that i make and make them moveeasily.
For general animation Flash is fine. However, it is 1) expensive and 2) not the best choice for more complicated character animation. Anime Studio is inexpensive, and much more geared towards true animation than Flash (although Flash CS4 does offer a curve based time line now and IK bones – still a little fiddly to use with some caveats).
You will still need Flash if you want to create interactive content – unless you go for Flash Animator, which is inexpensive ($49 again) and has a lot going for it
I agree with Frank N Stein but I would have to say that each time there is an update available go through the remove & reinstall process as Adobe is well known for leaving your system with vulnerabilites as it doesn’t ever remove previous versions or insecure patches.
Adobe flash player does just what it says. Plays flash movies. Many web sites use flash to add a rich user experience. It is safe to download directly from Adobe.
adobe flash player is a web player designed to play videos on the web browser…yes it is safe to download…

yeah get faster than a celeron processor. at least a Dual-core. Not Core 2 Duo if $$$ is the issue. by 80GB you are talking about the hard drive space. You want to get more- I don’t know how serious you really are about editing but this takes up space. Get a laptop with at least 250GB. Also, shoot for 3GB if possible because the computer will be coming with Vista (unless ur buying this used) which already needs to gigs of RAM/memory. It would be good to have more memory for video editing.
You can get laptops on sale with these specs every week these days from Best Buy starting at about $450-550 depending on what week it is. They are ok for what you want unless you are an advanced user.
Now again if you going to do some serious serious video editing than u may want to look into getting a better video card and a computer like this will cost more. Make sure that the video card is not shared memory (shares the memory with the main computer RAM)
Also, I recommend getting a three yr warranty with the laptop manufacturer- not the retail store. If you cannot get the extended warranty now (standard is one) make sure you extend it BEFORE the one yeat expires
It’ll run okay, but not fast. Celeron CPU’s are bottom of the barrel stuff — they’re slow, and inefficient because of their architecture and tiny L2 cache.
How fast it will perform will depend on the scale of the work you’re doing. For editing High definition video files, I doubt a Celeron would cut it.
I want to do some video editing and photo editing i wonder if that celeron model could be good enough..
Hi, I dnt really knw what its called, but you know on certain websites there are playlists (where you can press puase play and all sorts), they have song sampels on their websites. Is there a way you can download those songs to your computer using some type of programme or tool?

Hi, Yes you can as long as the flash drive is big enough to hold all your files. As an alternative you could invest in an external hard drive which you could use afterwards as a backup device for your whole system.
It all depends on just how many media files you have and how much space they occupy on your system. However, you can transfer them directly to another computer at any time.
Also, delete all of your temporary internet files; if you do not do this on a regular basis, you will be in for a shock when you have a look at the amount you will have sitting in your system.
Sometimes a registry fixer program is needed to clean up your registry and fix and faults there are…they are not expensive and they do a good job..but try all of the above first before you buy a registry fixer
I have never actually personally implemented this on any of my websites but I think it completely depends on your back end technology.
If most of your page material is static, then you can store each pages content in XML files for the associated languages.
If you are actually using a code behind language to pull material from a database then it will be much easier. Decide which language is selected via a cookie or query string and change your SQL statement to pull from a different language table or field.
Good Luck!
Although translators may seem like a good solution at first, they are HIGHLY inacurate as people use slang and shorthand on the internet. If you are fluent with another language, then it would most certainly be best to write the content on your own.
One way is a widget
“This week Microsoft released a widget for Windows Live Translator. And it’s pretty slick. All you have to do is copy a tiny bit of code to your web page, and a drop down box will show up on your site letting visitors know that they can “translate this site” in a variety of languages including German, Spanish, Portuguese, and Chinese.”
recommend Cucusoft Ultimate Video Converter which can support input and output almost any audio/video format, including Video format(H264, MP4, WMV, AVI, MOV, RM, 3GP, FLV, SWF, mpeg-1, mpeg-2, VideoCD, SuperVideoCD, DVD, etc.) and Audio format(AC3, AAC, MP2, MP3, MP4, RA, WMA, etc.).
i don’t know how many gb’s or media files you have on your computer? but if they will fit on the flash drive you can do it. they have like 32gb flash drives out now. but maybe a 16 gb would be enough for you? like i said i don’t know how many media files you have
It depends on the size of the flash drive and the size of your files. You can also consider using an external hard drive and burning the media on discs. I’m just saying, it sounds like the ship is going down so you need every lifeboat at your disposal.
like 911 tabs because it rates the tabs you want and gives you links to websites that have them. they have reular, pro, and power tabs as well.
already know about ultimate guitar.com..(every1 always says that one) but occasionally they dont have the correct version or any version at all, so i want to know a few website that i could look at if i didnt find it on ultimate guitar.
has links to many websites when you search for one song. Other sites (apart from Ultimate Guitar) include Tabondant, GuitarETab, etc..
google “free guitar tabs” should come up with a list.
i like 911 tabs because it rates the tabs you want and gives you links to websites that have them. they have reular, pro, and power tabs as well.
1)click start and then on run then type in “msconfig” then go to startup and untick the programs you know that you don`t want to run.
2) Download revounistaller, then click on hunter mode, click hold and drag the crosshair over to the program icon in the bottom right you don`t want to auto start, release the mouse then click stop auto starting and then that program will stop auto starting.
3)Upgrade you RAM/memory
4)Disk Defragment
5)Download Ccleaner and delete the rubbish you don`t want
6) Run Revo unistaller and remove the programs you don`t want, note: run the advanced mode, and when you`ve unistalled the program and it tells you to restart say no or later then click next and select all and delete all as that`ll delete the whole program and not leave traces of it, which take up hard drive space like the built in unistaller does
7)Run a anti spyware scan and delete all the cookies
It`s mainly 1,2,3 that you`ll need to do.
Hi you don’t need to understand the programs on your system to rectify your problem. As someone mentioned in another answer do you have a lot of large programs on your system? If you do are there any that you do not need? If so, get rid. Bin any files that you do not need or use. If you have a lot of pics, video, or music on your system, move it off your hard drive and onto either a memory stick or an external hard drive.
I know all the big names in the gaming world but what about some independent developers who do it for the passion? Where can I find these kind of sites?
Generally speaking, If you can save it on a PC, you can save it to a flash drive.
I have a Lexar Jump Drive Secure II Plus and I transferred my pictures from my pc to my notebook, putting them on my desktop. I cannot get satisfactory telephone support from Lexar after several calls.
If you transferred them and they appear on your desktop, they are on the computer and you’re all set. Take out the flash drive and check to see if you can launch/view them. Drag and Drop or saving them from the flash drive to the machine does the trick.
(Unless you can right mouse click on the created graph and directly select Copy from that… but you probably wouldn’t be asking the question here if you could do that).
. Open the Web site in Internet Explorer.
2. Right Click on the bar graph and select copy.
3. Open the Word document you are using.
4. Right click where you want the bar graph and select paste
dont thin k you can paste it straight on but if you save the image to your computer somewhere u can put it on you doc by clicking insert>image
you will need to locate the file on your computer
am completing an assignment for my maths unit of my teaching degree, and I have created a simple bar graph on a learn aid website. Is there any way I can copy the graph and paste it directly onto my Microsoft Word document?
Any help greatly appreciate, thanks!!
found emphoster to be a good place to get a website setup for free. They walk you through the process and help you build your own site. I found them at freesites.emphoster.com and they setup my site within a few days. Hope it helps.
emphoster website
I don’t have a big budget so I can’t afford to pay to have someone create a huge website for me. Is there somewhere I can go to get a cheap website built for me?
i watched it on no time limit that i know of and its absolutely free i watch all movies on this site i found this to be easiest site to maneuver and its free, best of all…..good luck…
You’know like HANCOCK!!!
I’ve watched it 2 times but never did watch the ending. ANd so I wanted to find it online, but all the websites include download and a limited time of 72 minutes
What website has NO LIMITED TIME OF WATCHING AND NO DOWNLOAD? I can live with signing up but no money included please.
Try this
If you store the files on you’re notebook desktop, when trying to open to picture files, make sure it’s trying to access the files from you’re desktop rather then you’re jump drive.
With explore open, go to your flash drive, remember is mini hard drive.
When you see your photos, press ctrl+A key (Select All), then press ctrl+C to copy all. Now move your cursor to userJohn\pictures, then click on pictures to open the folder. Then on the right side click in any blank space followed by ctrl + V to paste your pictures to this folder.
I have a windows xp iso on my computer that I would like to put on a flash drive and make it bootable.
I would look at godaddy or hostgator for hosting they are cheap and fast servers and If you want to become pro blogger, you need to get steady heavy traffic, you should consider coaching from a problogger, like shoemoney, yaro starak, ewinchia, etc. Learn from the master to become a master. There’s a lot to learn to become a succesful blogger.
hi i was planning on starting up a website and i was wondering where to get my own domain. also i know google has a system for starting up websites for bloggers. what im wondering is if this is the same thing as getting a domain when it comes to advertisers and making money.
need this for my 5th grade sister (10 years old) needs to be semi easy to understand for a 5th grader or 10-11 year old, and not wikipedia. any other website is good. thanks!
here is the website V. hope this helps. l@@k @ the source 2 get the site. hope this helps!
ok well im a type of person who loves to send and get letters!but the thing is i dont have stamps and no1 can take me to get some..does any1 kno a website that gives out free stamps online that deliver without u having to pay with a credit cad or debit card or anything that deals with money!i just want some samples of stamps
You can’t get postage stamps for free. You need to pay for them!
It might be possible to buy stamps from your regular letter carrier if you explain that you can’t get out to buy them yourself — but you will have to give him the money for the stamps. Sorry.
Easiest way would be Ctrl+Prnt Scrn (top left of the keyboard), then paste into word and crop the picture as you see fit (crop can be found on the picture toolbar in Word, which can be displayed by right mouse clicking on the picture and selecting “Display picture toolbar” – Its the button that looks like a black square).
I currently am trying to reformat a computer with a broken cd-rom drive and only have a windows xp iso. Thank you.you can write a cd of it which is bootable. flash rives cannot be bootable.
went to the site and i clicked download the ActiveX bar didn’t pop up and where i’m supposed to click download there is just a red X how can I download it?
ok this is fairley easy. just go to www.google.com or www.adobe.com and download whichever version you need.
You will have to call the Olympus and Canon help lines. The answer is “Maybe”.
My suggestion is that you buy the new Olympus E-3 instead of changing camera systems …
Usually someone who is considering buying a DSLR system, looks at all the different camera systems and then invests. Once you invest, changing camera systems is a lot like getting a divorce … EXPENSIVE
Before we begin, grab yourself this software: There everywhere on Google
There’s nothing worse than building something and when developing a website for it, you don’t know how. When this happens, and you don’t know whether to pay for a designer or do it yourself, you might as well, give in and quit.
The first step is to decide whether you want to pay for a designer or not. If it’s a piece of software you developed, the answer is no. Designers tend to not know exactly what you want, if you’ve just developed a program or something, also develop the website.
The next step is to find a domain; a domain is basically the address that someone puts into a browser to find your site. The average price for one of these is $5.95 a month. (With hosting) Do a quick Google search and you’ll find millions of domain sites.
Where do you stick your site if you don’t have a place to upload it to? Get a web host; they usually come with your domain. A great hosting and domain provider is www.aussiehq.com.au
So you’ve paid for everything and now you need to get developing. But what do you do if you have no software? Get some. Great examples of free software are Nvu but the best are programs such as adobe Dreamweaver and Microsoft Expression web.
If designing a website doesn’t suit you, grab yourself a free template at they look great and all you have to do is change the text.
So you’ve built the site and you need to upload it, uploading is much easier when the file is in a zip file so using WinRar, zip up the contents of your site and put it somewhere on your desktop.
Install Filezilla, an ftp client and begin. Fill in the login form with the details you should have got from your hosting provider and upload the zip file you just created. Depending on your internet speed and the size of your website, after about 10 min, you should have a brand new, fresh website on the internet.
Remember to update it frequently!
